GORAKHPUR: Dr Kafil Khan, who reportedly used from his own pocket to arrange three oxygen cylinders at Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Health care School on Thursday evening when the source of liquid oxygen allegedly stopped and became a hero on social media, has been removed from the article of nodal officer for the encephalitis ward.

Director typical, clinical schooling, K K Gupta mentioned the clinic had a stock of oxygen cylinders and there was no need to have to control cylinders from outside the house.

“When we currently had 52 cylinders in the clinic on the evening of August 10 then what was the need to have to control three cylinders from outside the house. The problem occurs why did he do it?” Dr Gupta mentioned. “Health care School did not declare him a hero. It was all developed by media.”

Dr Khan has also been accused of jogging a private clinic along with his government task.

Dr Bhupendra Sharma has been appointed as the new nodal officer even though Khan will continue to work as a health care provider at the clinic.

Confirming his removal from the article. Dr Khan advised TOI, “It’s a smear campaign in opposition to me. I was only hoping to help the young children. I did almost everything from getting in contact with oxygen firms to making certain prompt help to people.”
